Ezekiel 5

Chapter 5
1 Son of man, take a sharp sword and use it as a barber’s razor to shave your head and your beard. Then take scales and divide the hair you have cut off. 2 When the days of the siege come to an end, burn one-third of the hair inside the city. Take another third and cut it up with the sword throughout the city. Scatter the last third to the wind while I pursue it with the sword. 3 In addition, take a few of these hairs and conceal them in a fold of your robe. 4 From these, however, take some and cast them into the fire and burn them completely. A fire will spread from there against the entire house of Israel.
5 Thus says the Lord God: This is Jerusalem, which I have established in the midst of the nations and surrounded with foreign countries. 6 But she has rebelled against my ordinances and my statutes more wickedly than all the nations and the countries around her, rejecting my ordinances and refusing to obey my laws.
7 Therefore, thus says the Lord God: Because you have been more rebellious than the nations that surround you and have not followed my statutes or respected my ordinances and have not even observed the laws of the nations that surround you, 8 therefore, thus says the Lord God: I too am coming against you, and I will execute my judgments on you for all the nations to see. 9 And because of all your abominable offenses, I will inflict punishment on you that I have never done before and the like of which I will never do again. 10 Those of you who are parents will eat your children, and children will eat their parents. I will execute judgments on you, and any of you who survive I will scatter to the winds.
11 Therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all of your detestable and vile abominations, I will destroy you. I will not take pity on you or spare you. 12 One-third of you will die of pestilence or perish because of famine, one-third will fall by the sword outside your walls, and one-third I will scatter to the four winds and pursue them with the sword.
13 Then, once my anger has abated and I have vented my wrath against them, they will know that I, the Lord, have spoken in my jealousy. 14 I will make you a desolate waste and the object of mockery among the nations that surround you, a fate clearly evident to all those who pass by. 15 You will be an object of mockery and abuse, a frightening warning to the nations that surround you, when I execute my judgment on you in anger and fury and dreadful punishments. I, the Lord, have spoken.
16 When I loose my deadly arrows of famine against you, arrows of destruction which I will send forth to destroy you, and when I afflict you with one famine after another and cut off your supply of food, 17 I will afflict you with even more intense famine and wild beasts, and you will be left childless. Plague and bloodshed will sweep through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I, the Lord, have spoken.

5 “人子啊！你要拿一把利劍，當作理髮匠的剃刀，剃你的頭和刮你的鬍子，把鬚髮放在天平上稱，然後把它們分成幾分。 2 圍困這城的日子滿了，你要拿鬚髮的三分之一在城中用火燒掉，又拿三分之一在城的周圍用刀剁碎，三分之一撒在風中，我還要拔刀追趕它們。 3 你要在這些鬚髮中取幾根，用你的衣角把它們包起來。 4 再從這幾根鬚髮中取一部分投在火裡焚燒；火必從那裡蔓延到以色列全家。” 5 主耶和華這樣說：“這就是耶路撒冷！我曾把她安置在列國中間，萬邦環繞著她。 6 但她違背我的典章，行惡勝過列國；觸犯我的律例，比環繞著她的萬邦更壞。她棄絕我的典章，不遵行我的律例。” 7 主耶和華這樣說：“你們比你們四圍的列國更叛逆，不遵行我的律例，不遵守我的典章，連你們四圍列國的法規你們也不遵守（有些抄本沒有“也不”）。” 8 所以，主耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我要敵對你。我要在你中間，在列國的眼前，施行審判。 9 我要因你一切可憎的事在你中間施行我未曾行過，以後也不會這樣施行的審判。 10 因此，在你中間，父親要吃兒子，兒子要吃父親。我要向你施行審判，把你餘剩的眾人分散到四方去。
瘟疫、饑荒與刀劍的災禍
11 “我指著我的永生起誓（這是主耶和華的宣告），你既然用你一切可憎的偶像和一切可厭的事來玷污我的聖所，我必收回對你的恩寵，我的眼必不顧惜你，我也不憐恤你。 12 你的人民三分之一必在你中間因瘟疫死亡，因饑荒消滅；三分之一必在你周圍因刀劍倒斃；三分之一，我要分散到四方去，我還要拔刀追趕他們。
13 “這樣我的怒氣才可以發盡，我向他們所發的烈怒才可以平息，自己才得到舒暢。我向他們所發的烈怒完全發盡的時候，他們就知道我耶和華說過的話是出於嫉恨的心。 14 我要使你變成荒地，使你在你四圍的列國中和在所有路過的人眼前，成為羞辱的對象。 15 我以怒氣、烈怒和忿怒的責備向你施行審判的時候，你就必在你四圍的列國中成為羞辱、譏諷和令人驚駭的對象，也成了他們的警戒。這是我耶和華說的。 16 我射出饑荒和毀滅的毒箭的時候，是為了毀滅你們。我要使你們的饑荒加劇，斷絕你們糧食的供應。 17 我要差遣饑荒和惡獸到你們那裡去，使你喪掉兒女；在你中間必到處發生瘟疫和流血的事；我也必使刀劍臨到你。這是我耶和華說的。”

5 (A) ”Människobarn, ta ett skarpt svärd och använd det som rakkniv och raka[a] ditt huvud och skägg med det. Ta sedan en våg och dela upp håret. 2 En tredjedel ska du bränna upp i eld mitt i staden när belägringsdagarna är slut. En tredjedel ska du ta och slå med svärdet runt omkring staden, och en tredjedel ska du strö ut för vinden, för jag ska låta ett svärd dra ut efter dem. 3 (B) Men några få hårstrån ska du ta undan och knyta in i flikarna på din mantel. 4 Av dessa strån ska du sedan kasta några i elden och bränna upp dem. Från dem ska en eld gå ut över hela Israels folk.
5 Så säger Herren Gud: Detta är Jerusalem som jag har satt mitt ibland hednafolken med länder runt omkring. 6 (C) Men staden har i sin ondska gjort uppror mot mina bud mer än folken, och mot mina stadgar mer än länderna runt omkring, för de har förkastat mina bud och inte följt mina stadgar. 7 (D) Därför säger Herren Gud så: Ni har varit värre än hednafolken runt omkring er och inte levt efter mina lagar och inte följt mina bud. Ni har inte ens följt lagarna hos de folk som bor runt omkring er.
8 Därför säger Herren Gud så: Se, jag, jag själv är emot dig. Jag ska verkställa min dom mitt ibland er inför ögonen på folken. 9 (E) För dina vidrigheters skull ska jag göra med dig vad jag aldrig förr har gjort och aldrig mer ska göra. 10 (F) Därför ska föräldrar hos dig äta sina barn, och barn sina föräldrar. Jag ska verkställa min dom mot dig, och alla som blir kvar av dig ska jag strö ut för vinden. 11 (G) Så sant jag lever, säger Herren Gud: Därför att du har orenat min helgedom med alla dina vidrigheter och alla dina avgudar, ska jag rensa bort dig. Jag ska inte visa skonsamhet eller medlidande. 12 (H) En tredjedel av dig ska dö av pest och förgås av hunger. En tredjedel ska falla för svärd runt omkring dig. En tredjedel ska jag strö ut för vinden och låta ett svärd dra ut efter dem. 13 (I) Min vrede ska bli uttömd, och jag ska släcka min harm på dem och så få min hämnd. De ska inse att jag, Herren, har talat i min lidelse när jag tömmer min vrede över dem.
14 (J) Jag ska låta dig bli en ödemark och en skam bland folken runt omkring dig, inför alla som går förbi. 15 Du ska bli till skam och hån, till varning och skräck för folken runt omkring dig, när jag håller dom med vrede och harm och svåra straff. Jag, Herren, har talat. 16 (K) När jag sänder hungerns onda pilar, fördärvets pilar, då sänder jag dem för att fördärva er. Jag ska låta er hunger bli allt värre och förstöra livsuppehället för er. 17 (L) Och jag ska sända över er svält och vilda djur, som ska döda era barn. Pest och blodsutgjutelse ska drabba dig, och svärd ska jag låta komma över dig. Jag, Herren, har talat.”
