10 The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building.

11 And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.

12 And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.

13 Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the Lord shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.

14 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.

10 All along the width of the wall of the courtyard eastward[a] in front of the courtyard to the front of the building were chambers. 11 And a walkway was before them[b] like the appearance of the chambers which were on the north,[c] just like them in their length, and so was their width and all their exits, and they were built like their arrangements and like their doorways, 12 and like the doorways of the chambers which were on the way of the south was a doorway at the head of the way[d] before the stone wall, projecting[e] on[f] the way of the east at their coming.[g]

13 And he said to me, “The chambers of the north and the chambers of the south which are before[h] the courtyard, they are the holy chambers[i] in which the priests, who are near to Yahweh, will eat the most holy objects.[j] There they shall put the most holy objects,[k] and the grain offering and the sin offering and the guilt offering, for the place is holy. 14 When the priests enter,[l] then they shall not go out from the sanctuary to the outer courtyard; and there they must put[m] their garments in which they serve because they are holy. They must put on other garments and then they may approach the area that is for the people.
