21 Then the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, 22 “Son of man, what is this (A)proverb you people have concerning the land of Israel, saying, ‘The (B)days are long, and every (C)vision fails’? 23 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “I will make this proverb cease so that they will no longer use it as a proverb in Israel.” But speak to them, “(D)The days draw near as well as the [a]fulfillment of every vision. 24 For there will no longer be any (E)worthless vision or flattering divination in the midst of the house of Israel. 25 For I, Yahweh, will speak, and whatever (F)word I speak will be done. 23 Therefore say this to them. This is what the Lord God says. I will put an end to this saying, and they will no longer use it as a saying in Israel. On the contrary, say to them, “The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled.” 24 For no longer will there be any empty, unreliable visions or slippery, misleading omens within the house of Israel. 25 For I am the Lord. Whatever word I speak will be fulfilled. It will be delayed no longer. For in your own days, you rebellious house, I will speak a word and fulfill it, declares the Lord God.
