⁵ “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: This is Jerusalem, which I have set in the center of the nations, with countries all around her.^(A)

4 “Now, son of man, take a block of clay, put it in front of you and draw the city of Jerusalem on it.

⁶ This is what the Lord Almighty says:

⁶ Observe^(A) them carefully, for this will show your wisdom^(B) and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”^(C)

¹⁴ And your fame^(A) spread among the nations on account of your beauty,^(B) because the splendor I had given you made your beauty perfect, declares the Sovereign Lord.^(C)

⁴ and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock^(A) that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

¹⁹ And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it,^(A) and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

²⁰ In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant^(B) in my blood, which is poured out for you.^[a]

¹⁴ “You are the light of the world.^(A) A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
