¹⁴ Then I said, ^(A)“Ah, Lord God! Behold, I have never defiled myself.^{[a] (B)}From my youth up till now I have never eaten ^(C)what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has ^(D)tainted meat come into my mouth.”

¹⁴ But Peter said, “By no means, Lord; ^(A)for I have never eaten anything that is ^(B)common or ^(C)unclean.”

⁴⁹ Then I said, ^(A)“Ah, Lord God! They are saying of me, ^(B)‘Is he not a maker of parables?’”

⁸ And while they were striking, and I was left alone, ^(A)I fell upon my face, and cried, ^(B)“Ah, Lord God! ^(C)Will you destroy all the remnant of Israel ^(D)in the outpouring of your wrath on Jerusalem?”

⁶ Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, ^(A)I do not know how to speak, ^(B)for I am only a youth.”

^3 (A)“You shall not eat any abomination.

^17 (A)“Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one in the midst, ^(B)eating pig's flesh and the abomination and mice, shall come to an end together, declares the Lord.

^15 (A)And every person who eats what dies of itself or what is torn by beasts, ^(B)whether he is a native or a sojourner, ^(C)shall wash his clothes and ^(D)bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean.
