2 Make it square—18 inches long and 18 inches wide. It must be 36 inches high. Make the corners stick out like horns. These must be one piece with the altar. 3 Cover its top, its sides and its corners with pure gold. And put a gold strip all around the altar. 4 Make two gold rings beneath the gold strip on opposite sides of the altar. Slide poles through these gold rings to carry the altar.

New International Version
2 It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high[a]—its horns(A) of one piece with it. 3 Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.(B) 4 Make two gold rings(C) for the altar below the molding—two on each of the opposite sides—to hold the poles used to carry it.
