¹⁷ “^(A)You will bring them and ^(B)plant them in ^(C)the mountain of Your inheritance,
^(D)The place, O Lord, which You have made for Your dwelling,
^(E)The sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established.

² You with Your own hand ^(A)drove out the nations;
Then You ^(B)planted them;
You ^(C)afflicted the peoples,
Then You ^(D)spread them abroad.

² He dug it all around, removed its stones,
And planted it with ^[a]the ^(A)choicest vine.
And He built a tower in the middle of it
And also hewed out a ^[b]wine vat in it;
Then He ^(B)expected it to produce good grapes,
But it produced only ^[c]worthless ones.
