Moses Returns to Egypt

¹⁸ Then Moses went and returned to ^[a]Jethro ^(A)his father-in-law and said to him, “Please, let me go, that I may return to my brothers who are in Egypt and see if they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”

^12 (A)Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God, and Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat ^[a]a meal with Moses’ father-in-law before God.

²⁹ Then Moses said to ^(A)Hobab the son of ^(B)Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are setting out to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘^(C)I will give it to you’; ^(D)come with us and we will do you good, for Yahweh ^(E)has ^[a]promised good concerning Israel.”
