9 And it shall be a sign on your hand and a memorial before your eyes so that the law of the Lord may be upon your lips. With a mighty hand the Lord brought you out of Egypt.[a] 10 You shall celebrate this rite at this time every year.

9 This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand(A) and a reminder on your forehead(B) that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.(C) 10 You must keep this ordinance(D) at the appointed time(E) year after year.
