³⁵ they saw that his face was radiant.^(A) Then Moses would put the veil back over his face until he went in to speak with the Lord.

The Radiant Face of Moses

²⁹ When Moses came down from Mount Sinai^(A) with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands,^(B) he was not aware that his face was radiant^(C) because he had spoken with the Lord. ³⁰ When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him.

¹⁵ so that you may become blameless^(A) and pure, “children of God^(B) without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”^[a](C) Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky

³⁵ John was a lamp that burned and gave light,^(A) and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.

⁴³ Then the righteous will shine like the sun^(A) in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.^(B)

¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others,^(A) that they may see your good deeds^(B) and glorify^(C) your Father in heaven.

³ Those who are wise^[a](A) will shine^(B) like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness,^(C) like the stars for ever and ever.^(D)
