The Shining Face of Moses

²⁹ Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the ^(A)two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that ^(B)the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.

² and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

¹⁵ And ^(A)Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablets of the Testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.

²⁹ As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.

^16 (A)He had in His right hand seven stars, ^(B)out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, ^(C)and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.

¹³ unlike Moses, ^(A)who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at ^(B)the end of what was passing away.

Glory of the New Covenant

⁷ But if ^(A)the ministry of death, ^(B)written and engraved on stones, was glorious, ^(C)so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, ⁸ how will ^(D)the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? ⁹ For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry ^(E)of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

The Mighty Angel with the Little Book

10 I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. ^(A)And a rainbow was on ^(B)his head, his face was like the sun, and ^(C)his feet like pillars of fire.

¹⁵ And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.

¹³ But the one who was ^(A)healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place.
