¹⁶ For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, ^(A)except You go with us? So we ^(B)shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”

⁷ “For ^(A)what great nation is there that has ^(B)God^[a] so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?

¹⁴ and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have ^(A)heard that You, Lord, are among these people; that You, Lord, are seen face to face and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

⁵³ For You separated them from among all the peoples of the earth to be Your inheritance, ^(A)as You spoke by Your servant Moses, when You brought our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord God.”

^23 (A)“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

The Covenant Renewed^(A)

¹⁰ And He said: “Behold, ^(B)I make a covenant. Before all your people I will ^(C)do ^[a]marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is ^(D)an awesome thing that I will do with you.

¹⁷ Therefore

²³ And who is like Your people, like Israel, ^(A)the one nation on the earth whom God went to redeem for Himself as a people, to make for Himself a name—and to do for Yourself great and awesome deeds for Your land—before ^(B)Your people whom You redeemed for Yourself from Egypt, the nations, and their gods?

⁵ Now ^(A)therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and ^(B)keep My covenant, then ^(C)you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is ^(D)Mine. ⁶ And you shall be to Me a ^(E)kingdom of priests and a ^(F)holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
