²² There, above the cover between the two cherubim^(A) that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet^(B) with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.^(C)

⁴² “For the generations to come^(A) this burnt offering is to be made regularly^(B) at the entrance to the tent of meeting,^(C) before the Lord. There I will meet you and speak to you;^{(D) 43} there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory.^(E)

⁸⁹ When Moses entered the tent of meeting^(A) to speak with the Lord,^(B) he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two cherubim above the atonement cover^(C) on the ark of the covenant law.^(D) In this way the Lord spoke to him.

¹⁶ “Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, enthroned^(A) between the cherubim,^(B) you alone are God^(C) over all the kingdoms^(D) of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.^(E)

Psalm 80^[a]

For the director of music. To the tune of “The Lilies of the Covenant.” Of Asaph. A psalm.

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord: “Lord, the God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim,^(A) you alone^(B) are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

⁴ So the people sent men to Shiloh, and they brought back the ark of the covenant of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim.^(A) And Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

⁴ Place them in the tent of meeting^(A) in front of the ark of the covenant law,^(B) where I meet with you.^(C)

² The Lord said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron that he is not to come whenever he chooses^(A) into the Most Holy Place^(B) behind the curtain^(C) in front of the atonement cover^(D) on the ark, or else he will die. For I will appear^(E) in the cloud^(F) over the atonement cover.
