^7 (A)keeping steadfast love for thousands,^{[a] (B)}forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but ^(C)who will by no means clear the guilty, ^(D)visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.”

23 ^(A)“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a ^(B)malicious witness.

^11 (A)“You shall not steal; ^(B)you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another.

²² Abstain from every form of evil.

God's Wrath on Unrighteousness

¹⁸ For ^(A)the wrath of God ^(B)is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

¹⁶ If ^(A)a malicious witness arises to accuse a person of wrongdoing, ¹⁷ then both parties to the dispute shall appear before the Lord, ^(B)before the priests and the judges who are in office in those days. ¹⁸ The judges shall ^(C)inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, ^19 (D)then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil^[a] from your midst. ²⁰ And the rest ^(E)shall hear and fear, and shall never again commit any such evil among you. ^21 (F)Your eye shall not pity. ^(G)It shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
