²⁰ He said to his daughters, “Then where is he? Why have you left the man? Call him, that he may ^(A)eat bread.”

⁵⁴ and Jacob offered a sacrifice in the hill country and called ^(A)his kinsmen to eat bread. They ate bread and spent the night in the hill country.

²⁵ they prepared ^(A)the present for Joseph's coming at noon, for they heard that they should eat bread there.

^2 (A)Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby ^(B)some have entertained angels unawares.

¹⁰ and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has ^(A)shown hospitality, ^(B)has washed the feet of the saints, has ^(C)cared for the afflicted, and has ^(D)devoted herself to every good work.

¹¹ Then came to him all his ^(A)brothers and sisters and all who had ^(B)known him before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they ^(C)showed him sympathy and comforted him for all the evil^[a] that the Lord had brought upon him. And each of them gave him ^(D)a piece of money^[b] and ^(E)a ring of gold.

³¹ He said, “Come in, ^(A)O blessed of the Lord. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.” ³² So the man came to the house and unharnessed the camels, and gave ^(B)straw and fodder to the camels, and there was ^(C)water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him. ³³ Then food was set before him to eat. But he said, “I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.” He said, “Speak on.”

² and said, “My lords, ^(A)please turn aside to your servant's house and spend the night ^(B)and wash your feet. Then you may rise up early and go on your way.” They said, ^(C)“No; we will spend the night in the town square.” ³ But he pressed them strongly; so they turned aside to him and entered his house. And he made them a feast and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

⁵ while I bring a morsel of bread, that ^(A)you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on—^(B)since you have come to your servant.” So they said, “Do as you have said.”
