² Now Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, had taken Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her home,

²¹ And Moses was content to dwell with the man, and he gave Moses his daughter ^(A)Zipporah.

²⁵ Then ^(A)Zipporah took a ^(B)flint and cut off her son's foreskin and touched Moses'^[a] feet with it and said, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me!” ²⁶ So he let him alone. It was then that she said, “A bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.
