¹⁰ For while tangled ^(A)like thorns,
^(B)And while drunken like drunkards,
^(C)They shall be devoured like stubble fully dried.

¹⁸ The house of Jacob shall be a fire,
And the house of Joseph ^(A)a flame;
But the house of Esau shall be stubble;
They shall kindle them and devour them,
And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau,”
For the Lord has spoken.

Over mountaintops they leap,
Like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble,
Like a strong people set in battle array.
