⁹ For every breach of trust, whether it is for an ox, for a donkey, for a sheep, for a cloak, or for any kind of lost thing, of which one says, ‘This is it,’ the case of both parties shall come before God. The one whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor.

25 “If there is a ^(A)dispute between men and they come into court and the judges decide between them, ^(B)acquitting the innocent and condemning the guilty,

⁶ “Speak to the people of Israel, ^(A)When a man or woman commits any of the sins that people commit by breaking faith with the Lord, and that person realizes his guilt, ^7 (B)he shall confess his sin that he has committed.^{[a] (C)}And he shall make full restitution for his wrong, adding a fifth to it and giving it to him to whom he did the wrong.

^6 (A)“You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit. ^7 (B)Keep far from a false charge, and ^(C)do not kill the innocent and righteous, for ^(D)I will not acquit the wicked. ^8 (E)And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.

⁴ If the stolen beast ^(A)is found alive in his possession, whether it is an ox or a donkey or a sheep, ^(B)he shall pay double.
