New American Standard Bible
7 He was the guardian to Hadassah, that is (A)Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had no father or mother. Now the young woman was beautiful of form and [a]face, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.

7 Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This young woman, who was also known as Esther,(A) had a lovely figure(B) and was beautiful. Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died.

15 Now when the turn of Esther, (A)the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai who had taken her as his daughter, came to go in to the king, she did not request anything except what (B)Hegai, the king’s eunuch who was in charge of the women, [a]advised. And Esther was finding favor in the eyes of all who saw her.

15 When the turn came for Esther (the young woman Mordecai had adopted, the daughter of his uncle Abihail(A)) to go to the king,(B) she asked for nothing other than what Hegai, the king’s eunuch who was in charge of the harem, suggested. And Esther won the favor(C) of everyone who saw her.
