Mordecai Saves the King
21 In those days, while Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, (A)Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king’s officials from those who guarded the door, became angry and sought to [a]lay hands on King Ahasuerus. 22 But the [b]plot became known to Mordecai and (B)he told Queen Esther, and Esther [c]informed the king in Mordecai’s name.

New International Version
21 During the time Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthana[a] and Teresh, two of the king’s officers(A) who guarded the doorway, became angry(B) and conspired to assassinate King Xerxes. 22 But Mordecai found out about the plot and told Queen Esther, who in turn reported it to the king, giving credit to Mordecai.
