17 And the king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she met with his loving approval[a] more than all the other young women.[b] So he placed the royal high turban on her head and appointed her queen[c] in place of Vashti.

17 Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins. So he set a royal crown on her head and made her queen(A) instead of Vashti.
