2 Y fue hallado en Acmeta, en el palacio que está en la provincia de Media, un libro en el cual estaba escrito así: Memoria: 3 En el año primero del rey Ciro, el mismo rey Ciro dio orden acerca de la casa de Dios, la cual estaba en Jerusalén, para que fuese la casa reedificada como lugar para ofrecer sacrificios, y que sus paredes fuesen firmes; su altura de sesenta codos, y de sesenta codos su anchura; 4 y tres hileras de piedras grandes, y una de madera nueva; y que el gasto sea pagado por el tesoro del rey.

3 En el primer año de su reinado, el rey Ciro promulgó el siguiente edicto respecto al Templo de Dios en Jerusalén:
Que se echen los cimientos y se reconstruya el templo, para que en él se ofrezcan holocaustos. Tendrá sesenta codos[a] tanto de alto como de ancho, 4 tres hileras de piedras grandes y una de madera. Todos los gastos serán sufragados por el tesoro real.

3 “In the first year of his reign, King Cyrus issued this decree concerning the house of God in Jerusalem: Let the house be rebuilt as a place where sacrifices are offered and burnt offerings are presented. Its height shall be sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits, 4 with three layers of massive stones and one layer of timber. The cost is to be defrayed by the royal treasury.

3 In the first year of King Cyrus, the king issued a decree concerning the temple of God in Jerusalem:
Let the temple be rebuilt as a place to present sacrifices, and let its foundations be laid.(A) It is to be sixty cubits[a] high and sixty cubits wide, 4 with three courses(B) of large stones and one of timbers. The costs are to be paid by the royal treasury.(C)
