Sons, obey ye to your father and mother, in the Lord; for this thing is rightful [for this thing is just, or rightful].

Children, obey your fathers and mothers in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother (which is the first commandment that has any promise with it), so that you may prosper and live long on the earth.
