Unity and Diversity in the Body of Christ

Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord,(A) urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility(B) and gentleness, with patience,(C) bearing(D) with one another in love,(E) making every effort to keep the unity(F) of the Spirit(G) through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit(H)—just as you were called to one hope[a](I) at your calling— one Lord,(J) one faith,(K) one baptism, one God(L) and Father(M) of all, who is above all and through all and in all.(N)

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to live in a way that is worthy of the calling to which you have been called, demonstrating all expressions of humility, gentleness, and patience, accepting one another in love. Do your best to maintain the unity of the Spirit by means of the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit. Likewise, you were called to the one hope of your calling.

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

one God and Father of all,
        who is above all, through all, and in all.
