³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,^(A) with whom you were sealed^(B) for the day of redemption.^{(C) 31} Get rid of^(D) all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.^{(E) 32} Be kind and compassionate to one another,^(F) forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.^(G)

¹⁹ Do not quench the Spirit.^{(A) 20} Do not treat prophecies^(B) with contempt ²¹ but test them all;^(C) hold on to what is good,^{(D) 22} reject every kind of evil.
