Thanksgiving and Prayer

¹⁵ For this reason, ^(A)because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love^[a] toward all the saints, ¹⁶ I ^(B)do not cease to give thanks for you, ^(C)remembering you in my prayers, ¹⁷ that ^(D)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ^(E)may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, ^18 (F)having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is ^(G)the hope to which he has called you, what are ^(H)the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, ^(I)according to the working of ^(J)his great might ²⁰ that he worked in Christ ^(K)when he raised him from the dead and ^(L)seated him at his right hand ^(M)in the heavenly places, ^21 (N)far above ^(O)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above ^(P)every name that is named, not only in ^(Q)this age but also in the one to come. ²² And ^(R)he put all things under his feet and gave him as ^(S)head over all things to the church, ^23 (T)which is his body, ^(U)the fullness of him ^(V)who fills ^(W)all in all.

⁸ To me, ^(A)though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, ^(B)to preach to the Gentiles the ^(C)unsearchable ^(D)riches of Christ, ⁹ and ^(E)to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery ^(F)hidden for ages in^[a] God, ^(G)who created all things, ¹⁰ so that through the church the manifold ^(H)wisdom of God ^(I)might now be made known to ^(J)the rulers and authorities ^(K)in the heavenly places. ¹¹ This was ^(L)according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, ¹² in whom we have ^(M)boldness and ^(N)access with ^(O)confidence through our ^(P)faith in him. ¹³ So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering ^(Q)for you, ^(R)which is your glory.

Prayer for Spiritual Strength

¹⁴ For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, ¹⁵ from whom ^(S)every family^[b] in heaven and on earth is named, ¹⁶ that according to ^(T)the riches of his glory ^(U)he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit ^(V)in your inner being, ^17 (W)so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being ^(X)rooted and ^(Y)grounded in love, ¹⁸ may have strength to ^(Z)comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and ^(AA)height and depth, ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ ^(AB)that surpasses knowledge, that ^(AC)you may be filled with all ^(AD)the fullness of God.

^20 (AE)Now to ^(AF)him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, ^(AG)according to the power at work within us, ^21 (AH)to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Unity in the Body of Christ

4 I therefore, ^(AI)a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to ^(AJ)walk in a manner worthy of ^(AK)the calling to which you have been called, ² with all ^(AL)humility and ^(AM)gentleness, with ^(AN)patience, ^(AO)bearing with one another in love, ³ eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in ^(AP)the bond of peace. ⁴ There is ^(AQ)one body and ^(AR)one Spirit—just as you were called to the one ^(AS)hope that belongs to your call— ^5 (AT)one Lord, ^(AU)one faith, ^(AV)one baptism, ^6 (AW)one God and Father of all, ^(AX)who is over all and through all and in all. ⁷ But ^(AY)grace was given ^(AZ)to each one of us ^(BA)according to the measure of Christ's gift.
