⁷ I became a servant of this gospel^(A) by the gift of God’s grace given me^(B) through the working of his power.^(C)

¹⁹ and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power^(A) is the same as the mighty strength^(B)

²⁰ Now to him who is able^(A) to do immeasurably more than all we ask^(B) or imagine, according to his power^(C) that is at work within us,

² Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me^(A) for you,

⁶ He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant^(A)—not of the letter^(B) but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.^(C)

²¹ equip you with everything good for doing his will,^(A) and may he work in us^(B) what is pleasing to him,^(C) through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.^(D)

²³ if you continue^(A) in your faith, established^(B) and firm, and do not move from the hope^(C) held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven,^(D) and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.^(E)

Paul’s Labor for the Church

²⁴ Now I rejoice^(F) in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions,^(G) for the sake of his body, which is the church.^{(H) 25} I have become its servant^(I) by the commission God gave me^(J) to present to you the word of God^(K) in its fullness—

¹³ And we also thank God continually^(A) because, when you received the word of God,^(B) which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

²⁹ To this end I strenuously^(A) contend^(B) with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.^(C)
