⁵ which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.

A Call to Persevere

¹⁷ But you must ^(A)remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ Concerning this salvation, ^(A)the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, ¹¹ inquiring ^(B)what person or time^{[a] (C)}the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating ^(D)when he predicted ^(E)the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. ^12 (F)It was revealed to them that ^(G)they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you ^(H)by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, ^(I)things into which angels long to look.

^2 (A)that you should remember the predictions of ^(B)the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles,

1 Paul, a servant^[a] of God and ^(A)an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the sake of the faith of God's elect and ^(B)their knowledge of the truth, ^(C)which accords with godliness, ^2 (D)in hope of eternal life, which God, ^(E)who never lies, ^(F)promised ^(G)before the ages began^{[b] 3} and ^(H)at the proper time manifested in his word^{[c] (I)}through the preaching ^(J)with which I have been entrusted ^(K)by the command of God our Savior;

^20 (A)built on the foundation of the ^(B)apostles and prophets, ^(C)Christ Jesus himself being ^(D)the cornerstone,

²⁸ And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew ^(A)to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but ^(B)God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

⁹ and ^(A)to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery ^(B)hidden for ages in^[a] God, ^(C)who created all things,

²⁶ But the ^(A)Helper, the Holy Spirit, ^(B)whom the Father will send in my name, ^(C)he will teach you all things and ^(D)bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
