¹⁶ and might ^(A)reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

²⁰ and ^(A)through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, ^(B)making peace ^(C)by the blood of his cross.

^21 (D)And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, ^(E)doing evil deeds, ²² he has now reconciled ^(F)in his body of flesh by his death, ^(G)in order to present you holy and blameless and ^(H)above reproach before him,

¹⁰ For if ^(A)while we were enemies ^(B)we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by ^(C)his life.

¹⁴ by ^(A)canceling ^(B)the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Stewards of God's Grace

4 Since therefore ^(A)Christ suffered in the flesh,^{[a] (B)}arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for ^(C)whoever has suffered in the flesh ^(D)has ceased from sin, ^2 (E)so as to live for ^(F)the rest of the time in the flesh ^(G)no longer for human passions but ^(H)for the will of God.

¹⁵ by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ^(A)ordinances, that he might create in himself one ^(B)new man in place of the two, so making peace,

²⁰ I have been ^(A)crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives ^(B)in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, ^(C)who loved me and ^(D)gave himself for me.

¹⁸ All this is from God, ^(A)who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us ^(B)the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ that is, in Christ God was reconciling^[a] the world to himself, ^(C)not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us ^(D)the message of reconciliation. ²⁰ Therefore, ^(E)we are ambassadors for Christ, ^(F)God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ^21 (G)For our sake he made him to be sin ^(H)who knew no sin, so that in him we might become ^(I)the righteousness of God.

³ For ^(A)God has done what the law, ^(B)weakened by the flesh, ^(C)could not do. ^(D)By sending his own Son ^(E)in the likeness of sinful flesh and ^(F)for sin,^[a] he condemned sin in the flesh,
