6 Y plant, ufuddhewch i’ch rhieni yn yr Arglwydd: canys hyn sydd gyfiawn. 2 Anrhydedda dy dad a’th fam, (yr hwn yw’r gorchymyn cyntaf mewn addewid;) 3 Fel y byddo yn dda i ti, ac fel y byddech hir‐hoedlog ar y ddaear. 4 A chwithau dadau, na yrrwch eich plant i ddigio; ond maethwch hwynt yn addysg ac athrawiaeth yr Arglwydd. 5 Y gweision, ufuddhewch i’r rhai sydd arglwyddi i chwi yn ôl y cnawd, gydag ofn a dychryn, yn symlrwydd eich calon, megis i Grist; 6 Nid â golwg‐wasanaeth, fel bodlonwyr dynion, ond fel gweision Crist, yn gwneuthur ewyllys Duw o’r galon; 7 Trwy ewyllys da yn gwneuthur gwasanaeth, megis i’r Arglwydd, ac nid i ddynion: 8 Gan wybod mai pa ddaioni bynnag a wnelo pob un, hynny a dderbyn efe gan yr Arglwydd, pa un bynnag ai caeth ai rhydd fyddo. 9 A chwithau feistriaid, gwnewch yr un pethau tuag atynt hwy, gan roddi bygwth heibio: gan wybod fod eich Arglwydd chwi a hwythau yn y nefoedd; ac nid oes derbyn wyneb gydag ef. 10 Heblaw hyn, fy mrodyr, ymnerthwch yn yr Arglwydd, ac yng nghadernid ei allu ef. 11 Gwisgwch holl arfogaeth Duw, fel y galloch sefyll yn erbyn cynllwynion diafol. 12 Oblegid nid yw ein hymdrech ni yn erbyn gwaed a chnawd, ond yn erbyn tywysogaethau, yn erbyn awdurdodau, yn erbyn bydol lywiawdwyr tywyllwch y byd hwn, yn erbyn drygau ysbrydol yn y nefolion leoedd. 13 Am hynny cymerwch atoch holl arfogaeth Duw, fel y galloch wrthsefyll yn y dydd drwg; ac wedi gorffen pob peth, sefyll. 14 Sefwch gan hynny, wedi amgylchwregysu eich lwynau â gwirionedd, a gwisgo dwyfronneg cyfiawnder; 15 A gwisgo am eich traed esgidiau paratoad efengyl tangnefedd: 16 Uwchlaw pob dim, wedi cymryd tarian y ffydd, â’r hon y gellwch ddiffoddi holl bicellau tanllyd y fall. 17 Cymerwch hefyd helm yr iachawdwriaeth, a chleddyf yr Ysbryd, yr hwn yw gair Duw: 18 Gan weddïo bob amser â phob rhyw weddi a deisyfiad yn yr Ysbryd, a bod yn wyliadwrus at hyn yma, trwy bob dyfalbara, a deisyfiad dros yr holl saint; 19 A throsof finnau, fel y rhodder i mi ymadrodd, trwy agoryd fy ngenau yn hy, i hysbysu dirgelwch yr efengyl; 20 Dros yr hon yr wyf yn gennad mewn cadwyn: fel y traethwyf yn hy amdani, fel y perthyn imi draethu. 21 Ond fel y gwypoch chwithau hefyd fy helynt, beth yr wyf yn ei wneuthur, Tychicus, y brawd annwyl a’r gweinidog ffyddlon yn yr Arglwydd, a hysbysa i chwi bob peth: 22 Yr hwn a anfonais atoch er mwyn hyn yma; fel y caech wybod ein helynt ni, ac fel y diddanai efe eich calonnau chwi. 23 Tangnefedd i’r brodyr, a chariad gyda ffydd, oddi wrth Dduw Dad, a’r Arglwydd Iesu Grist. 24 Gras fyddo gyda phawb sydd yn caru ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist mewn purdeb. Ephesians 6 New International Version (NIV)
6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[a]
4 Fathers,[b] do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, 8 because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.
9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
21 Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. 22 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you.
Ephesians 6 King James Version (KJV)
6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
