¹⁰ And so I saw the wicked buried, who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were forgotten in the city where they had so done. This is also vanity.

¹¹ Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

¹² Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

¹³ But it shall not be well with the wicked; neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he feareth not before God.

⁹ And moreover because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed and sought out and set in order many proverbs.

¹⁰ The Preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth!

¹¹ The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the master builders, which are given from one Shepherd.

¹² And further, my son, by these words be admonished: of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness to the flesh.

¹³ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

¹⁴ For God shall bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.
