⁹ Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.

¹⁸ Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; ^(A)I will make him a helper fit for^[a] him.”

¹⁸ But as it is, ^(A)God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, ^(B)as he chose. ¹⁹ If all were a single member, where would the body be? ²⁰ As it is, there are many parts,^[a] yet one body.

²¹ The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”

^14 (A)I am not able to carry all this people alone; the burden is too heavy for me.

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

^7 (A)And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

³⁶ Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that ^(A)sower and ^(B)reaper ^(C)may rejoice together.

^12 (A)The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!”

² While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, ^(A)the Holy Spirit said, ^(B)“Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul ^(C)for the work to which I have called them.”

¹⁴ Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses and he said, “Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, ^(A)he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. ^15 (B)You shall speak to him and ^(C)put the words in his mouth, and ^(D)I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you both what to do. ^16 (E)He shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and ^(F)you shall be as God to him.
