37 [a](A)Because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose [b]their descendants after them. And He [c](B)personally brought you from Egypt by His great power, 38 driving out from before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in and (C)to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is today. 39 Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that (D)the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other. 40 (E)So you shall keep His statutes and His commandments which I am [d]giving you today, that (F)it may go well with you and with your children after you, and (G)that you may [e]live long on the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”

38 to dispossess nations greater and stronger than thou, from thy presence, to bring thee in to give to thee their land -- an inheritance, as [at] this day.

39 `And thou hast known to-day, and hast turned [it] back unto thy heart, that Jehovah He [is] God, in the heavens above, and on the earth beneath -- there is none else;

40 and thou hast kept His statutes and His commands which I am commanding thee to-day, so that it is well to thee, and to thy sons after thee, and so that thou prolongest days on the ground which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee -- all the days.'
