Deuteronomy 29:2-8
English Standard Version
2 [a] And Moses summoned all Israel and said to them: (A)“You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land, 3 the great (B)trials that your eyes saw, the signs, and those great wonders. 4 But to this day (C)the Lord has not given you a heart to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear. 5 (D)I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn off your feet. 6 (E)You have not eaten bread, and you have not drunk wine or strong drink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. 7 And when you came to this place, (F)Sihon the king of Heshbon and Og the king of Bashan came out against us to battle, but we defeated them. 8 We took their land and (G)gave it for an inheritance to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites.

The Exodus, Wandering, and Conquest Reviewed
2 Moses proclaimed to all Israel as follows: “You have seen all that the Lord did[a] in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, all his servants, and his land. 3 Your eyes have seen the great judgments,[b] those signs and mighty wonders. 4 But to this very day the Lord has not given you an understanding mind, perceptive eyes, or discerning ears![c] 5 I have led you through the wilderness for forty years. Your clothing has not worn out[d] nor have your sandals[e] deteriorated. 6 You have eaten no bread and drunk no wine or beer—all so that you might know that I[f] am the Lord your God! 7 When you came to this place King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan came out to make war and we defeated them. 8 Then we took their land and gave it as an inheritance to Reuben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh.
