Offering First Fruits

26 “Then it shall be, when you enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you take possession of it and live in it, that you shall take some of (A)the first of all the produce of the ground which you bring in from your land that the Lord your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket and (B)go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to establish His name. And you shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him, ‘I declare today to the Lord [a]my God that I have entered the land which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’ Then the priest shall take the basket from your hand and set it before the altar of the Lord your God. And you shall respond and say before the Lord your God, ‘(C)My father was a [b]wandering Aramean, and he went down to Egypt and [c]resided there, (D)few in number; but there he became a (E)great, mighty, and populous nation. And the (F)Egyptians treated us badly and oppressed us, and imposed hard labor on us. Then (G)we cried out to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our wretched condition, our trouble, and our oppression; (H)and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand, an outstretched arm, and with great terror, and with signs and wonders; and He has brought us to this place, and has given us this land, (I)a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 And now behold, I have brought the first of the produce of the ground (J)which You, Lord have given me.’ Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God; 11 and you, (K)the Levite, and the stranger who is among you shall (L)rejoice in all the good which the Lord your God has given you and your household.

12 (M)When you have finished paying all the tithe of your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, then you shall give it to the Levite, to the stranger, to the [d]orphan, and to the widow, so that they may eat in your [e]towns and be satisfied. 13 And you shall say before the Lord your God, ‘I have removed the sacred portion from my house, and have also given it to the Levite, the stranger, the [f]orphan, and the widow, in accordance with all Your commandments which You have commanded me; (N)I have not violated or forgotten any of Your commandments. 14 I have not eaten of it while mourning, nor have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor offered any of it to the dead. I have listened to the voice of the Lord my God; I have acted in accordance with everything that You have commanded me. 15 (O)Look down from Your holy dwelling place, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel, and the ground which You have given us, (P)a land flowing with milk and honey just as You swore to our fathers.’

16 “This day the Lord your God commands you to perform these statutes and ordinances. Therefore you shall be careful to perform them (Q)with all your heart and with all your soul. 17 (R)Today you have declared the Lord to be your God, and [g]that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His ordinances, and listen to His voice. 18 And the Lord has today declared you to be (S)His people, His personal possession, just as He promised you, and [h]that you are to keep all His commandments; 19 and [i]that He will (T)put you high above all the nations which He has made, for glory, fame, and honor; and that you shall be (U)a consecrated people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”

26 Aphan ddelych i’r tir y mae yr Arglwydd dy Dduw yn ei roddi i ti yn etifeddiaeth, a’i feddiannu, a phreswylio ynddo; Yna cymer o bob blaenffrwyth y ddaear, yr hwn a ddygi o’th dir y mae yr Arglwydd dy Dduw yn ei roddi i ti, a gosod mewn cawell, a dos i’r lle a ddewiso yr Arglwydd dy Dduw i drigo o’i enw ef ynddo: A dos at yr offeiriad a fydd yn y dyddiau hynny, a dywed wrtho, Yr ydwyf fi yn cyfaddef heddiw i’r Arglwydd dy Dduw, fy nyfod i’r tir a dyngodd yr Arglwydd wrth ein tadau ar ei roddi i ni. A chymered yr offeiriad y cawell o’th law di, a gosoded ef o flaen allor yr Arglwydd dy Dduw: A llefara dithau, a dywed gerbron yr Arglwydd dy Dduw, Syriad ar ddarfod amdano oedd fy nhad; ac efe a ddisgynnodd i’r Aifft, ac a ymdeithiodd yno ag ychydig bobl, ac a aeth yno yn genedl fawr, gref, ac aml. A’r Eifftiaid a’n drygodd ni, a chystuddiasant ni, a rhoddasant arnom gaethiwed caled. A phan waeddasom ar Arglwydd Dduw ein tadau, clybu yr Arglwydd ein llais ni, a gwelodd ein cystudd, a’n llafur, a’n gorthrymder. A’r Arglwydd a’n dug ni allan o’r Aifft â llaw gadarn, ac â braich estynedig, ac ag ofn mawr, ac ag arwyddion, ac â rhyfeddodau. Ac efe a’n dug ni i’r lle hwn, ac a roes i ni y tir hwn; sef tir yn llifeirio o laeth a mêl. 10 Ac yn awr, wele, mi a ddygais flaenffrwyth y tir a roddaist i mi, O Arglwydd: a gosod ef gerbron yr Arglwydd dy Dduw, ac addola gerbron yr Arglwydd dy Dduw. 11 Ymlawenycha hefyd ym mhob daioni a roddodd yr Arglwydd dy Dduw i ti, ac i’th deulu, tydi, a’r Lefiad, a’r dieithr a fyddo yn dy fysg.

12 Pan ddarffo i ti ddegymu holl ddegwm dy gnwd, yn y drydedd flwyddyn sef blwyddyn y degwm; yna y rhoddi i’r Lefiad, i’r dieithr, i’r amddifad, ac i’r weddw; fel y bwytaont yn dy byrth di, ac y digoner hwynt. 13 A dywed gerbron yr Arglwydd dy Dduw, Dygais y peth cysegredig allan o’m tŷ, ac a’i rhoddais ef i’r Lefiad, ac i’r dieithr, i’r amddifad, ac i’r weddw, yn ôl dy holl orchmynion a orchmynnaist i mi: ni throseddais ddim o’th orchmynion ac nis anghofiais. 14 Ni fwyteais ohono yn fy ngalar, ac ni ddygais ymaith ohono i aflendid, ac ni roddais ohono dros y marw: gwrandewais ar lais yr Arglwydd fy Nuw; gwneuthum yn ôl yr hyn oll a orchmynnaist i mi. 15 Edrych o drigle dy sancteiddrwydd, sef o’r nefoedd, a bendithia dy bobl Israel, a’r tir a roddaist i ni, megis y tyngaist wrth ein tadau; sef tir yn llifeirio o laeth a mêl.

16 Y dydd hwn y mae yr Arglwydd dy Dduw yn gorchymyn i ti wneuthur y deddfau hyn a’r barnedigaethau: cadw dithau a gwna hwynt â’th holl galon, ac â’th holl enaid. 17 Cymeraist yr Arglwydd heddiw i fod yn Dduw i ti, ac i rodio yn ei ffyrdd ef, ac i gadw ei ddeddfau, a’i orchmynion, a’i farnedigaethau, ac i wrando ar ei lais ef. 18 Cymerodd yr Arglwydd dithau heddiw i fod yn bobl briodol iddo ef, megis y llefarodd wrthyt, ac i gadw ohonot ei holl orchmynion: 19 Ac i’th wneuthur yn uchel goruwch yr holl genhedloedd a wnaeth efe, mewn clod, ac mewn enw, ac mewn gogoniant; ac i fod ohonot yn bobl sanctaidd i’r Arglwydd dy Dduw, megis y llefarodd efe.
