Choose Life

¹⁵ “See, ^(A)I have set before you today life and ^[a]prosperity, and death and ^[b]adversity;

^19 (A)I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, ^(B)the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your ^[a]descendants, ^20 (C)by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and ^(D)by holding fast to Him; ^(E)for ^[b]this is your life and the length of your days, ^[c]that you may live in ^(F)the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

²³ For the wages of ^(A)sin is death, but the free gift of God is ^(B)eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁶ But she who ^(A)gives herself to wanton pleasure is ^(B)dead even while she lives.

¹⁵ Then ^(A)when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when ^(B)sin ^[a]is accomplished, it brings forth death.
