^13 (A)The Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you only will be above, and you will not be underneath, if you listen to the commandments of the Lord your God, which I charge you today, to ^[a]observe them carefully,

¹⁹ and ^[a]that He will ^(A)set you high above all nations which He has made, for praise, fame, and honor; and that you shall be ^(B)a consecrated people to the Lord your God, as He has spoken.”

² And David realized that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that his kingdom was highly exalted, for the sake of His people Israel.
