²¹ You shall not be in dread of them, for the Lord your God is ^(A)in your midst, ^(B)a great and awesome God.

³² “Now, therefore, our God, ^(A)the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us, upon our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our fathers, and all your people, ^(B)since the time of the kings of Assyria until this day.

¹⁷ For the Lord your God is ^(A)God of gods and ^(B)Lord of lords, ^(C)the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is ^(D)not partial and takes no bribe.

⁵ And I said, “O Lord God of heaven, ^(A)the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments,

¹⁰ And Joshua said, “Here is how you shall know that ^(A)the living God is among you and that he will without fail ^(B)drive out from before you the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Hivites, the Perizzites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, and the Jebusites.

¹⁴ And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, ^(A)“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, ^(B)who is great and awesome, ^(C)and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”

¹⁴ and they will tell the inhabitants of this land. ^(A)They have heard that you, O Lord, are in the midst of this people. For you, O Lord, are seen face to face, and ^(B)your cloud stands over them and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

^25 (A)the secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, ^(B)falling on his face, he will worship God and ^(C)declare that God is really among you.

² “Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem ^(A)a cup of staggering to ^(B)all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem ^(C)will also be against Judah. ^3 (D)On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. ^(E)All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And ^(F)all the nations of the earth will gather against it. ^4 (G)On that day, declares the Lord, ^(H)I will strike every horse ^(I)with panic, and its rider ^(J)with madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples ^(K)with blindness. ⁵ Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.’
