^23 (A)Take care, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you, and ^(B)make a carved image, the form of anything that the Lord your God has forbidden you.

^9 (A)“Only take care, and ^(B)keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. ^(C)Make them known to your children and your children's children—

¹² Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from ^(A)the living God.

⁴ And Jesus answered them, ^(A)“See that no one leads you astray.

The Lord's Everlasting Covenant

⁵⁹ “For thus says the Lord God: I will deal with you as you have done, you ^(A)who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant,

¹⁶ if you transgress the covenant of the Lord your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them. Then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land that he has given to you.”

²⁰ For when I have brought them into the land ^(A)flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to give to their fathers, and they have eaten and are full and ^(B)grown fat, ^(C)they will turn to other gods and serve them, and ^(D)despise me and ^(E)break my covenant.

²⁵ Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt,
