⁹ Do not plant two kinds of seed in your vineyard;^(A) if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit of the vineyard will be defiled.^[a]

“‘Do not mate different kinds of animals.

“‘Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed.^(B)

“‘Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.^(C)

³ But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning,^(A) your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

⁶ But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt,^(A) because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. ⁷ That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. ⁸ Such a person is double-minded^(B) and unstable^(C) in all they do.

¹⁶ “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.

¹⁰ Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.

⁶ And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works;^(A) if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

²⁴ “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.^(A)
