22 “You ^(A)shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep going astray and ignore them. You shall take them back to your brother.

^4 (A)“If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him. ⁵ If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.

^16 (A)I will seek the lost, ^(B)and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and ^(C)the fat and the strong I will destroy.^[a] I will feed them in justice.

³ And you shall do the same with his donkey or with his garment, or with any lost thing of your brother's, which he loses and you find; you may not ignore it. ^4 (A)You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fallen down by the way and ignore them. You shall help him to lift them up again.

²⁵ For ^(A)you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to ^(B)the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

¹⁹ My brothers, ^(A)if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone ^(B)brings him back, ²⁰ let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering ^(C)will save his soul from death and ^(D)will cover a multitude of sins.

^4 (A)“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, ^(B)if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine ^(C)in the open country, and ^(D)go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? ⁵ And when he has found it, ^(E)he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. ⁶ And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for ^(F)I have found my sheep that was lost.’
