⁷ The hands of the witnesses shall be the first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So you shall put away the evil from among ^(A)you.

⁹ but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to ^(A)death, and afterward the hand of all the people.

¹³ But those who are outside God judges. Therefore ^(A)“put away from yourselves the evil person.”

¹² Now ^(A)the man who acts presumptuously and will not heed the priest who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall put away the evil from Israel.

⁵ But ^(A)that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. ^(B)So you shall ^[a]put away the evil from your midst.

⁵⁸ and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And ^(A)the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. ⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, ^(B)receive my spirit.”

¹³ Now therefore, deliver up the men, ^(A)the ^[a]perverted men who are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death and ^(B)remove the evil from Israel!” But the children of Benjamin would not listen to the voice of their brethren, the children of Israel.

⁷ “If a man is ^(A)found ^[a]kidnapping any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and mistreats him or sells him, then that kidnapper shall die; ^(B)and you shall put away the evil from among you.

^19 (A)then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother; so ^(B)you shall put away the evil from among you.
