^21 (A)“You shall not eat anything that has died naturally. You may give it to the sojourner who is within your towns, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For ^(B)you are a people holy to the Lord your God.

^(C)“You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

¹⁹ “The best of the ^(A)firstfruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the Lord your God.

^(B)“You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

^26 (A)The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring to the house of the Lord your God. ^(B)You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.”

² For ^(A)you are a people holy to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

^8 (A)He shall not eat what dies of itself or is torn by beasts, and so make himself unclean by it: I am the Lord.’

^15 (A)And every person who eats what dies of itself or what is torn by beasts, ^(B)whether he is a native or a sojourner, ^(C)shall wash his clothes and ^(D)bathe himself in water and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean.

¹⁴ Then I said, ^(A)“Ah, Lord God! Behold, I have never defiled myself.^{[a] (B)}From my youth up till now I have never eaten ^(C)what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has ^(D)tainted meat come into my mouth.”

¹⁶ since it is written, ^(A)“You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

^2 (A)Do not be conformed to this world,^[a] but be transformed by ^(B)the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may ^(C)discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.^[b]
