7 And (A)there you shall eat before the Lord your God, and (B)you shall rejoice in [a]all to which you have put your hand, you and your households, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.
8 “You shall not at all do as we are doing here today—(C)every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes— 9 for as yet you have not come to the (D)rest[b] and the inheritance which the Lord your God is giving you. 10 But when you cross over the Jordan and dwell in the land which the Lord your God is giving you to inherit, and He gives you (E)rest from all your enemies round about, so that you dwell in safety, 11 then there will be the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide. There you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, and all your choice offerings which you vow to the Lord. 12 And (F)you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your male and female servants, and the (G)Levite who is within your gates, since he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

Deuteronomy 12:7-12
New International Version
7 There, in the presence(A) of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice(B) in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you.
8 You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see fit,(C) 9 since you have not yet reached the resting place(D) and the inheritance(E) the Lord your God is giving you. 10 But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the Lord your God is giving(F) you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest(G) from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety. 11 Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name(H)—there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord.(I) 12 And there rejoice(J) before the Lord your God—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites(K) from your towns who have no allotment or inheritance(L) of their own.

Instructions to the Rich
17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain (A)riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things (B)to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 (C)storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Nehemiah 9:35-37
New King James Version
35 For they have (A)not served You in their kingdom,
Or in the many good things that You gave them,
Or in the large and rich land which You set before them;
Nor did they turn from their wicked works.
36 “Here (B)we are, servants today!
And the land that You gave to our fathers,
To eat its fruit and its bounty,
Here we are, servants in it!
37 And (C)it yields much increase to the kings
You have set over us,
Because of our sins;
Also they have (D)dominion over our bodies and our cattle
At their pleasure;
And we are in great distress.
Nehemiah 9:35-37
New International Version

36 “But see, we are slaves(C) today, slaves in the land you gave our ancestors so they could eat its fruit and the other good things it produces. 37 Because of our sins, its abundant harvest goes to the kings you have placed over us. They rule over our bodies and our cattle as they please. We are in great distress.(D)

(B)With fat of lambs;
And rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats,

And you drank wine, the (C)blood of the grapes.
15 “But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked;
(D)You grew fat, you grew thick,
You are obese!
Then he (E)forsook God who (F)made him,
And scornfully esteemed the (G)Rock of his salvation.
