Kaya't nagpasiya ako na iharap sa akin ang lahat na pantas sa Babilonia, upang kanilang maipaaninaw sa akin ang kahulugan ng panaginip.

Nang magkagayo'y nagsidating ang mga mahiko, ang mga enkantador, ang mga Caldeo, at ang mga manghuhula; at isinaysay ko ang panaginip sa harap nila; nguni't hindi nila maipaaninaw sa akin ang kahulugan niyaon.

I saw a dream that frightened me; my fantasies in bed and the visions of my head terrified me.(A) So I made a decree that all the wise men of Babylon should be brought before me, in order that they might tell me the interpretation of the dream.(B) Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the diviners came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not tell me its interpretation.(C)

I had a dream(A) that made me afraid. As I was lying in bed,(B) the images and visions that passed through my mind(C) terrified me.(D) So I commanded that all the wise men of Babylon be brought before me to interpret(E) the dream for me. When the magicians,(F) enchanters, astrologers[a] and diviners(G) came, I told them the dream, but they could not interpret it for me.(H)
