Daniel 12:5-13
Christian Standard Bible
5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and two others were standing there, one on this bank of the river and one on the other. 6 One of them said to the man dressed in linen,(A) who was above the water of the river,(B) “How long until the end(C) of these wondrous things?” 7 Then I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the water of the river. He raised both his hands[a](D) toward heaven and swore by him who lives eternally(E) that it would be for a time, times, and half a time.(F) When the power of the holy people is shattered, all these things will be completed.
8 I heard but did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?” (G)
9 He said, “Go on your way, Daniel, for the words are secret(H) and sealed until the time of the end.(I) 10 Many will be purified,(J) cleansed, and refined,(K) but the wicked will act wickedly;(L) none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.(M) 11 From the time the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation(N) is set up,(O) there will be 1,290 days. 12 Happy is the one who waits(P) for and reaches 1,335 days. 13 But as for you, go on your way to the end;[b] you will rest, and then you will rise[c] to receive(Q) your allotted inheritance at the end of the days.”

5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and two others appeared, one standing on this bank of the stream and one on the other. 6 One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was upstream, “How long shall it be until the end of these wonders?”(A) 7 The man clothed in linen, who was upstream, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven. And I heard him swear by the one who lives forever that it would be for a time, two times, and half a time[a] and that when the shattering of the power of the holy people comes to an end all these things would be accomplished.(B) 8 I heard but could not understand, so I said, “My lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?” 9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.(C) 11 From the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the desolating sacrilege is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred ninety days.(D) 12 Happy are those who persevere and attain the thousand three hundred thirty-five days.(E) 13 But you, go your way,[b] and rest; you shall rise for your reward at the end of the days.”(F)
