10 Suddenly, a hand touched me and set me shaking on my hands and knees. 11 He said to me, ‘Daniel, you are a man treasured by God.[a](A) Understand the words that I’m saying to you. Stand on your feet,(B) for I have now been sent to you.’(C) After he said this to me, I stood trembling.
12 ‘Don’t be afraid,(D) Daniel,’ he said to me, ‘for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God,(E) your prayers were heard. I have come because of your prayers.(F)

11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

12 Then he continued, “Do not be afraid,(E) Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble(F) yourself before your God, your words(G) were heard, and I have come in response to them.(H)
