Daniel 9:27
New International Version
27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’[a] In the middle of the ‘seven’[b] he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple[c] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed(A) is poured out on him.[d]”[e]

36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself(A) above every god and will say unheard-of things(B) against the God of gods.(C) He will be successful until the time of wrath(D) is completed, for what has been determined must take place.(E)

13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law(A) by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”[a](B) 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus,(C) so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.(D)
The Law and the Promise
15 Brothers and sisters,(E) let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case. 16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed.(F) Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,”[b](G) meaning one person, who is Christ. 17 What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years(H) later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise.

Benediction and Final Greetings
20 Now may the God of peace,(A) who through the blood of the eternal covenant(B) brought back from the dead(C) our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,(D) 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will,(E) and may he work in us(F) what is pleasing to him,(G) through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(H)
Hebrews 10:4-22
New International Version
4 It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats(A) to take away sins.(B)
5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world,(C) he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;(D)
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings
you were not pleased.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll(E)—
I have come to do your will, my God.’”[a](F)
8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”(G)—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.”(H) He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy(I) through the sacrifice of the body(J) of Jesus Christ once for all.(K)
11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices,(L) which can never take away sins.(M) 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins,(N) he sat down at the right hand of God,(O) 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool.(P) 14 For by one sacrifice he has made perfect(Q) forever those who are being made holy.(R)
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies(S) to us about this. First he says:
16 “This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”[b](T)
17 Then he adds:
18 And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.
A Call to Persevere in Faith
19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence(V) to enter the Most Holy Place(W) by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way(X) opened for us through the curtain,(Y) that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest(Z) over the house of God,(AA) 22 let us draw near to God(AB) with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings,(AC) having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience(AD) and having our bodies washed with pure water.(AE)

15 For this reason Christ is the mediator(A) of a new covenant,(B) that those who are called(C) may receive the promised(D) eternal inheritance(E)—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.(F)
16 In the case of a will,[a] it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, 17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. 18 This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.(G) 19 When Moses had proclaimed(H) every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves,(I) together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people.(J) 20 He said, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”[b](K)

The Certainty of God’s Promise
13 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself,(A) 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”[a](B) 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.(C)
16 People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument.(D) 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging(E) nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised,(F) he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie,(G) we who have fled to take hold of the hope(H) set before us may be greatly encouraged.
