Gabriel Interprets the Vision

¹⁵ Then it happened, when I, Daniel, had seen the vision and ^(A)was seeking the meaning, that suddenly there stood before me ^(B)one having the appearance of a man.

¹⁶ And suddenly, ^(A)one having the likeness of the ^[a]sons of men ^(B)touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke, saying to him who stood before me, “My lord, because of the vision ^(C)my sorrows have ^[b]overwhelmed me, and I have retained no strength.

^13 (A)and in the midst of the seven lampstands ^(B)One like the Son of Man, ^(C)clothed with a garment down to the feet and ^(D)girded about the chest with a golden band.

¹⁰ Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, ¹¹ searching what, or what manner of time, ^(A)the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.

¹⁸ Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me.

^18 (A)Here is wisdom. Let him who has ^(B)understanding calculate ^(C)the number of the beast, ^(D)for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

The Great Tribulation^(A)

^14 (B)“So when you see the ^(C)‘abomination of desolation,’ ^[a]spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not” (let the reader understand), “then ^(D)let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

^30 (A)Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, ^(B)and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
