²⁷ tekel: you have been weighed on the scales and found wanting;^(A)

¹³ the work of each builder will become visible, for the day^[a] will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each has done.^(A)

¹⁸ Mortal, the house of Israel has become dross to me; all of them, silver,^[a] bronze, tin, iron, and lead. In the smelter they have become dross.^{(A) 19} Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have all become dross, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. ²⁰ As one gathers silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into a smelter, to blow the fire upon them in order to melt them, so I will gather you in my anger and in my wrath, and I will put you in and melt you.

¹¹ “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing a wedding robe,^{(A) 12} and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding robe?’ And he was speechless.^(B)
